I find it very interesting when it comes to social media what gets suggested as things I might want to look at or like. How would you know?
I know, based on what we look at, we are being tracked on social media, among other places, which is creepy in and of itself. That being said, I get why I am seeing some ads and suggestions, but then there are times I have to scratch my head and wonder what programs are being used to determine what I want to see, investigate, or follow.
I’m curious because I am on several of these outlets, my blog posts to a few of them, and I really have to question, when you suggest that I look at or follow something that I actually find distasteful, vial, or just downright ick.
Let me point out, I am not judging, at all! You are free to think whatever you want, it’s your opinion and you are entitled to it. You are free to put pen to paper, or post, however you choose to do it, whatever you want to say. Of course, in recent times, we know that might not be the best idea, but it is your right. And I am done on this subject, I do not want to start anything here…
What I want to know, based on my social media profile, is how ‘you’/search bots think I want to view some of this crap that you suggest I should view/watch/follow. I say crap, not to disparage anyone, but because I don’t want it, please stop suggesting it and, yes, in my opinion, sometimes, it’s just crap.
Off soapbox.
